SE660/120 x 1. Supra Gearbox Conversion Kit for XK120 models. Our customers have had great success with this conversion and it is recognised as the best currently available, 5-speed Gearbox Conversion for the XK120, XK140 & XK150. The Supra derived gearbox has been in performance use, for many years, is robust and the smoothest performer out there (as seen in magazine comparison tests). The gearshift ratios are also nicely suited to the XK for a good overdriven 5th gear performance. This is a fully rebuilt unit and is supplied with all required parts as a kit  for each specific XK model. This is a comprehensive kit that comes with the essential drive plate (all gearbox conversion kits use a custom plate), special spigot bearing, bolt-on adaptor to mate the box to bellhousing, chrome (original style) gearshift & period gearknob (many kits do not include shifters at all), angle drive & correct length speedo cable. This price also includes a propshaft for the specific XK model. Magazines have run comparison tests on many of the gearbox conversions that were on the market and were not really too happy that the Japanese Supra box seems to offers the best drive in a British Jaguar!

PLEASE NOTE: All XK120 gearbox conversions require a piece to be cut from the crossmember for proper  gearbox clearance. We do supply a diagram for this chassis modification with the XK120 kit.

This kit can be priced less propshaft if specifically requested. NOTE: If you construct your own propshaft for any conversion, it should only include one splined section for safety.
